Monday Monday..lala-lala-lala-la...so good to me..

Yes its Monday!

For the working folk, Monday sucks, but for those unemployed it's not so bad. I usually do my cleaning on Mondays as you can see. I know what you're thinking... what's wrong with your vacuum?

It has a boo boo alright! Can't buy a new, but I don't mind it... it still useful =)

So like I mentioned in my 'about me' corner, I've had this revelation...no that's not right...more like a break through! I don't know if anyone reading this has ever gone through a lay off, but let me tell you it's a devastating loss. At first you go through various emotions: denial, anger, grieve and lastly depression. I'm pretty sure there were more emotions I've experienced, but why bore you with them all. Any who, the depression part is the worst, mine only lasted two months. I was feeling like my vacuum, all battered, but I still felt deep deep inside useful. My boyfriend actually told me straight out, "Stop being a baby, look at me!" Yes that's right my boyfriend is also unemployed. There are many of us out there and no we are not lazy...just over educated (Check out my 'Over Educated and depreciating' post tomorrow for more info).

So after my boyfriend's wise words, I realized how hypocritical I was being. There I was still in my pajamas watching infomercials feeling sorry for myself, instead of doing what I've kept telling him to do, "If I were you I'd volunteer, workout, try to do everything that I always wanted to do!" It's not so easy to be the one in the other side of the fence, but I recovered. I know some people just give up, but that's like giving up on life, so don't! I believe everyone has a purpose in this world, no matter how small the contributing might be.

So today, I plan on working on my website (will save that post for another day) and going to the gym for some ab workout and 45 min. spinning session. Need to keep moving people!
